This site follows the progress of the most inexperienced drummer as he tries various training systems including:
- Free online videos/books/mp3s
- Paid online videos/books/reviews
- Paid DVD/Book “systems”
The “musician” will attempt to make a posting everyday that he trains that includes the tool he was using, how he felt, as well as the post-training close-out session where the “musician” attempts to demonstrate his current level of skill, introducing any new techniques learned.
That’s the fun part. Each and every day will include a video of the author so you can judge for yourself if the training worked.

Who is this site for?
- Parents who are tired of paying for lessons or material and not seeing results
- Completely inexperienced drummers who aren’t sure where to start, or who to trust
(look for all the sites that lead to “Drumming System” as an example of content farms) - Practicing musicians who feel they aren’t making progress fast enough (as I’m sure my lack of progres sover time should boost any performers moral!)
- Anyone interested int he quality of training materials, or effort in learning a new instrument.
Furthermore, I want to make a few disclaimers up front:
- I am novice in the truest sense of the word. Longing to play drums for some years I have never owned a set or played other instruments until this point. I will be learning from a complete absence of musical understanding or practice.
- I am fortunate to know several talented musicians. I do get the chance for some immersion with great musicians, mostly in the rock and blues genres. My brother, uncles and cousins are all talented guitarists, so I know the ability of rhythm is somewhere in my genes.
- Each system I try, be it free or paid will include links to the content distributors website. In the event these are paid products there is a likelihood it will be an affiliated link, meaning that I will receive some compensation for your eventual purchase. Though typically a trivial value (pennies a click) it will help pay for the costs of hosting this site, and paying for the training materials.
- If something is crap, I will write so. Although the 3rd stipulation above may still hold, if I feel the material did not perform as advertised, or was just poorly crafted it will be thoroughly noted in my review/update.
